Auto Workshop Manager

Applications are invited from qualified persons to fill the position of a Auto Workshop Manager.

Qualifications and experience:

  • At least five (5) years’ experience working in an automobile workshop as an operations manager or similar positions.
  • A minimum of HND in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or Operations Management.
  • Proven ability to lead a team of mechanics, other workers, and manage operations. 
  • Experience in any Vehicle Management System.
  • Working knowledge of Tally ERP or similar ERPs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are essential.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, customer service, and financial literacy.
  • Good knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and practices.
  • A good understanding of the legalities in the vehicle service industry.  
  • Should exhibit honesty and transparency.
  • Good team player and communicate well with others. 
  • A valid Ghanaian driver’s license is a plus.

 Responsibilities:

  • Direct the affairs of the entire business operations including workshop, parts, equipment, and administrations and report to the Managing Director.
  • Develop and deploy strategies, policies, procedures, etc. to boost the revenue of the business.
  • Facilitate the sales of the business services and products (auto parts, lubricants, and garage equipment.).
  • Ensure compliance to HSE regulations by all workers.
  • Planning and budgeting to ensure the business have all the necessary resources to operate efficiently. 
  • Liaise with the accountant in preparing financial reports.
  • Monitor inventory (parts, lubricant, etc.) and ensure reorders are done in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and issues business monthly reports to the Managing Director.
  • Ensure vehicles repair quality assurance and control is effective to eliminate or mitigate reworks.
  • Ensure all critical equipment have Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and relevant workers trained and competent on those SOPs. 
  • Train and develop workers.

Salary package: GHC4,000 – 6,000, plus annual performance bonus
